October 23, 2015

The October 22 Stone Soup event was a fun time.  It was so good to see so many there. Thanks to everyone who made it great!

Special thanks to;
  • Roxanne, Tyler, Austin, Dalton, Mark and Selomon for the use of their room all day Thursday for all the soup prep work
  • Donna and Leslie for bringing the Stone Soup game
  • Jimmy for sharing a dramatic reading of the Stone Soup fable
  • Many people who brought canned goods, carrots, onions and more to make the soup tasty
  • All of you who made time in your busy schedules to be there
  • Many who stayed to help clean up
There was much talk about different sports at last night's event. Some are football-focused, others like basketball, and Zach just likes ALL sports!

A complete list of RWC sports events can be found on the RWC athletics calendar here. Check it out and let's keep talking about some events to attend - either as a large group or with smaller combinations of students and mentors.

Here is an event happening tomorrow (Saturday, October 24 at noon)!
Women’s Volleyball hosts Mercy Saturday at noon inside the Voller Athletic Center! The Redhawks edged the Mavericks in five sets in their first meeting earlier this season. Come on out and support your team!

The ICARE Halloween party is next week, Wednesday, October 28, 9-10 a.m. Don't forget to bring in a new pair of socks as part of the sock drive that day.
